Head of NAER, Sergiy Yermilov took participation at official opening of conference entitled “Alternative energetics in agricultural sector” with complimentary address. He noted that energy efficiency issue is one of the main tendencies of public policy in Ukraine. In confirmation of this thesis Mr. Yermilov claimed that Ukrainian Government have passed more than 50 legal and normative acts over a period of last two years that are aimed to support and develop energy efficiency sector.

Sergiy Yermilov also informed conference participants that the State target program of energy efficiency for 2010-2014 years is completely developed and ready to be implemented at the moment. The main component of this program is alternative energy. Implementation of this program will result in producing about 12,5 mln. fuel equivalent of biofuels.

Particularly, more than 6000 boilers in housing and communal service sector will pass from traditional energy recourses to biomass. Moreover, there will be active support of biogas technologies and ethanol industry development. Concerning ethanol industry, State target program oа energy efficiency sets forth passing 300 thousands automobiles in housing and communal service sector to usage of E85 fuel that will be manufactured in Ukraine “We speak not about 5% admixture, it is a principally new approach”, – stressed Mr. Yermilov.

“Totally, all this areas come to a strong potential of economical enhancement that can be brought to fuel and energy complex of Ukraine. Exactly this is the main direction of our efforts”, – summarized Head of NAER.

Head of National Agency for investments and innovations, Mrs Ludmila Suprun supported the idea of dominating role of alternative energetics in agricultural sector. In her address to conference members she claimed that she is ready to provide active support to the projects that are aimed at displacement of expensive energy resources and reducing of the degree of energetic dependency of Ukraine. Mrs. Suprun also informed about innovations in agricultural sector. In particular, National Agency for investments and innovations considers a possibility of promotion of fibre crops raising for further refinement to petroleum product analogue. Estimated cost of such fuel will amount to 1 hrn.
